As advertised, but big - and have your reading glasses handy
I like the quality, ruggedness, and intuitive user interface. And I LOVE my VHF radio having DSC and GPS/NAV capabilities. Just two caveats;

1) This radio is BIG. It dwarfs my beloved Icom M72. It's an inch taller, roughly a half-inch wider and roughly a half-inch thicker. If it were any bigger you really couldn't call it a hand-held.

2) Even though it's big the display is small, forcing some of the characters to be tiny. I'm middle-aged and there's no way I can read the lat/lon off the screen without my reading glasses. I was hoping I could carry this on me in the event I go overboard - my thinking was that I could call in my lat/lon from the water without having to carry anything else (like a separate GPS). I don't think it's going to work for that unless I'm lucky enough to be wearing my reading glasses when I go in. Of course you still have that DSC Distress button so that mitigates this to some degree.
