Negative reviews affecting decision? Read this.
Okay, I read a bunch of the negative reviews and I kinda want to set the record straight. First off, never EVER just go out and wear them sans socks right out the box without breaking them in - these are leather and need to be worked a bit. I'd suggest a really thin sock (dress sock would work if you don't have anything thinner) and wear it around the house for a little bit. Some people even say to soak them in water and then wear them (with or without socks) and let them dry as you walk around. Being that I'm not one to wear wet shoes around the house (inside or out), I went with the thin sock option. The socks got moist from my foot and was able to work into the shoe. After a bit I took the sock off and it got even better. What also might work is if you put on a ton of hand lotion all over your foot and then put the shoes on...the oils from that might help a bit. It'll feel squishy, but after a little bit that'll go away (mind you, if you do this you cannot return them)...
